随着社会发展人类的进步，警察这一历史源远流长的职业变得愈发的重要。在女权主义逐渐觉醒的现代，越来越多如珍珠一般闪耀的女性身着着帅气逼人的制服，出现在了打击邪恶维护正义的行列之中。
辻本夏实（玉川纱记子 配音）就是这样一位能干强悍的女性，其短发的造型一下子就能给人以精明干练的良好印象，而她活泼好胜的性格也经常为同僚们惹出了不少的麻烦。但正因为这有些莽撞的个性和极强的行动力，使得一些犯罪分子无处遁形。作为夏实的最佳搭档，小早川美幸（平松晶子 配音）细腻缜密的逻辑思维弥补了夏实的大大咧咧，同时，她一流的驾驶技术也让两人的行动如虎添翼。就是这样有趣的两人，每天，都有妙趣横生的事件发生在她们的身边。。从荣宁二府被抄而蒙不白之冤，重病在身的王熙凤已经对贾府任何人不再信任，只好拿出“通灵宝玉”和一本“族谱”让刘姥姥南下寻找贾宝玉，同时将她的女儿巧姐托付给刘姥姥照料。于是，这一老一少便踏上寻找贾宝玉的茫茫路。孙绍祖、贾雨村等人为夺记载了朝廷众多官员买官卖官罪证的蓝册子，一路追杀刘姥姥，可谓险象环生，幸得狗娃、郑龙、朱婷、等人的屡次相助，刘姥姥一行人才能频频化险为夷，最终将蓝册子交给了北静王，为荣宁府沉冤昭雪……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut.
