年过半百的张文音（斯琴高娃 饰）思想开放、敢为人先，开办婚姻介绍所的她结识了爱情道路坎坷无成的男人方建国（刘佩琦 饰），原本想为对方当爱情参谋，谁知一来二去不仅被旁人认作是老两口，连他们自己心中都有了异样的感觉。无奈张的儿女江大海和江小洋（王姬 饰）同意母亲再婚的想法。尤其小洋，职场上风光得意，颐指气使，在家更把老公林永（冯国强 饰）压下一头，这也使他们的婚姻走向破裂边缘。
