《Beast Machines: Transformers》延续了前作《Beast Wars》的故事。Maximals在击败Predacons后返回Cybertron，却发现家园被Megatron统治，所有居民的火种（sparks）都被囚禁。Optimus Primal、Cheetor、Blackarachnia和Rattrap被迫变回兽形态，并失去了大部分记忆。他们在地下发现了Oracle超级计算机，获得了新的科技有机体形态。Maximals必须解放被囚禁的火种，揭开同伴Silverbolt和Rhinox的命运，并恢复Cybertron的有机生命。。Cielo’s teenage daughter, Laura, is kidnapped in Northern Mexico.
