嘉宝在本片中扮演一名苏俄女干部，奉派前往巴黎调查三名手下出售一批沙皇时代珠宝的工作进度。这三名手下俨然已经被资本主义所腐蚀。不料她自己置身在自由浪漫的花都之后也不禁思想解冻，并且跟当地的中年美国男子发生了难分难解的爱情。而这名男子正是珠宝的前主人派来的阻止他们工作的……。Miss Mary Morstan contacts Sherlock Holmes for his help regarding her father, captain Morstan, who disappeared 10 years ago. Since his disappearance she annually receives a valuable pearl by post from an unknown person. The mystery leads Holmes and doctor Watson into an intricate plot regarding a lost treasure belonging to four convicts on the Andaman Islands。
