崔凯是一个过气的作家，失业宅在家里过着窘迫的生活。某日接到编辑胡言邀约：创作一本恐怖系列的小说。这使他重新振作起来。可接下来的创作过程并非一帆风顺，他的文笔大不如前，找不到曾经的创作激情与灵感。随着编辑的不断催促，他深深地陷入压抑与焦躁之中。他终日躲在封闭的房间里冥思苦想，怪事也从此随之而来……。The Doctor faces the end of his life as the Master's plans hurtle out of control.
