该剧以今日上海一场无情的企业之争为背景，讲述了在上公馆这座老洋房中发生的一系列爆笑且充满悬疑的故事。赖声川介绍，在情节发展过程中，除了随时加入编排当下即时热点事件，也会将中国传统节日、节气等各种庆祝活动融入其中，全剧共100集，每集相对独立却又有主线串联，剧情中81个老物件串联的背后是一个完整的故事。。Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by...。
